New Year Thoughts & Last Year’s Reflections

January 5, 2019

I feel like last year flew by. I accomplished so much this past year I can honestly say I am proud of the woman I have become. I graduated college with a degree in Automotive Technology; something that was a hard challenge for me to overcome for many reasons, but I found strength I never knew I had and finished with honors. Although I felt lost after graduating- there’s just so many paths in the automotive industry to choose from- I realized my receptionist job at Nissan had lead me to exactly where I was meant to be. After working my way through the Express bays I earned a position at Nissan as an Apprentice Technician with the opportunity to learn at Nissan schools and train under Nissan Certified Technicians while I work on my own certifications. I feel lucky to be at the dealership I’m at and very grateful to work with people who are passionate about their jobs like I am. I’m the first female technician to be employed at the dealership I work at, and they published an article about me on their page. I wanted to share the picture and paragraph I wrote! 47153707_2384604651580786_5324661369931300864_n

“I always was fascinated by cars’ design and operation growing up. Once I was able to drive in high school, I felt constantly frustrated knowing I knew absolutely nothing about the cars I drove every day. Intrigued, I started to preform small repairs on my own. My tail light went out so I found out how to change the bulb myself. When I popped my tire, I used my owner’s manual to put my spare on. I realized I loved repairing my car, and I took any opportunity I could to work on my vehicle. When I took a tour during my senior year in high school of an auto school in Denver, I knew instantly I wanted to be in the Automotive Industry. I graduated high school early and started working at a private performance shop as an intern. Inspired immensely by high performance cars in the shop and the mechanics working on them, I started to construct my own life goals that would align with the performance world. During my last semester in school I began working at Tynan’s Nissan where I decided to pursue my dream to become a Nissan GTR Master Technician. Each day brings new opportunities to learn and grow as a technician and I cannot imagine another career I would be happier in. I hope to one day inspire women like myself to chase their dreams, because I would have never thought I would become my best self as a mechanic.”

Wishing you strength, success and prosperity for the new year!

Cheers to 2019 ✧

Tuned in Tokyo Colorado

June 9, 2018

I enjoyed attending Tuned in Tokyo Colorado at the Budweiser event center this past weekend! I saw a lot of the same cars that were at the Battle Royal Denver event, however there were some outstanding gems I had to capture on camera.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the event:

I’ve been really loving engine bay shots lately, if you can’t already tell!

Yellow shirt dude is absolutely a mood

Thanks for viewing! ✌️
